Software Overview
Patient management, tracking, and statistics reporting tool for Emergency Department
administrators. This software allows administrators in the hospital's ED department
to capture the names, next of kin, GP details, admission details, and other information
for patients that attend for emergency treatment. The system can also produce labels,
invoices, and receipts. We also provide St. Michael's with theatre, testing, admissions, barcoding, and other software modules.
This information is stored in a database and as required the hospital can run automated
reports that give overviews on statistics such as attendances, waiting times, types
of admissions, methods of admission (i.e. ambulance etc), and more. This information
is sent to the HSE as required or used within the hospital for management purposes.
Technologies Used
Web based system using C# ASPx running in front of SQLServer 2008 R2. Reporting is
done on Microsoft Reporting Services 2008.
Cost Savings or Efficiencies Gained
The hospital has freed up a lot of administrative time since the system was implemented.
Staff spend a massively significant less amount of time each week preparing reports,
doing data entry, cross referencing patient records, and archiving records. Thanks
to these efficiencies staff can spend more time on patient focused tasks and higher
value duties.
